FSP’s Estonian operations in Saue and Jüri are thriving. FSP’s surface treatment facilities in Estonia provide services to companies such as ABB, Sandvik, Stera Saue As and now Wärtsilä Energy Solutions Oy, a leading international energy system integrator.
In addition to ABB, one of the company’s largest clients is Harju Elekter Teletehnika, for whom FSP’s Saue surface treatment facility has surface treated electric supply stations that will be used by Kone-cranes. There are 86 substations in total and they will be installed in Virginia in the US.
Matis Jürgenson, who is responsible for the Estonian locations, says both surface treatment facilities are handling larger client orders and larger surface treated objects than before. There is particular demand for wet painting services and logistics services for surface treated objects.
“As our workload has increased we’ve made our operations more efficient. We now have at our disposal a dosing and spray system, which we acquired in the spring and which gives more precise colour adjustment for the paint mixing ratio for a range of mixing and viscosity rates. The surface treatment process has become more efficient and safer,” Jürgenson says.
ABB has been a client of FSP for twenty years. ABB production manager Janar Kukk is satisfied with the close, long-term cooperation.
“FSP is a long-term partner of ours in industrial motor and generator manufacturing. Our products demand a surface that both protects them from external factors and looks good. FSP has demonstrated its professional skill in challenging situations that called for specialised know-how,” Kukk says.
