FSP is expanding its operations in southwestern Finland. We have acquired the surface treatment operations of Sandvik Mining and Construction Oy in a deal, signed on November 27, 2019.
The transfer concerns the coating operations of Sandvik Mining and Construction Oy on Vahdontie, Turku, which are transferred in their entirety to FSP, starting in January 1st 2020. Sandvik’s coating operations include parts coating and the finalization, taping and plating of surface-treated machinery.
The transfer of business covers Sandvik’s entire paint shop personnel in Turku, some ten employees, will transfer to FSP under their current employment conditions. The transaction has no other effects on the personnel.

He sees many benefits in the Sandvik deal.
