FSP For Surface Protection is sharpening its operations by focusing on outsourcing partnerships. As a part of the process, project-based surface treatment units in Finland are acquired by Baltic Surface Treatment Oy.
As a part of realizing its strategy, FSP has sold the units in Pori, Porvoo, Naantali, and Raahe to Baltic Surface Treatment Oy, a company founded by Ramberg Investment AB. Baltic Surface Treatment Oy will focus its operations on project-based surface treatment.
Ramberg Investment AB operates in a similar business area in Sweden. The Group will continue investing in the development of project-based surface treatment businesses.
Fredrik Ramberg, the owner of Ramberg Investment AB, is also a long-term FSP owner with extensive surface treatment business knowledge. He describes how the increased focus on the FSP outsourcing service concept enabled an opportunity to acquire project-based operations.
“Through this acquisition, we can unite the Swedish and Finnish project-based units within a new Group. FSP and Baltic Surface Treatment companies can now focus on their core competence and serve customers in both sectors.”
The FSP units subject to the business transaction will be transferred to Baltic Surface Treatment Oy from July 1, 2023. All employees will be welcomed to the new company to secure the maintenance of current business activities and customer relations. Hannu Paappa will manage Baltic Surface Treatment Oy operations in Finland, and Joni Siironen will be responsible for sales in Finland.
