TIME FOR DIGITAL SOLUTIONS AND COOPERATION
Welcome to read the first issue of For Surface Protection magazine in 2020. Our main topics for the issue are expertise, cooperation and openness. This time, we’ll discuss them through examples of customer relationships and interviews.
This year we are making a large investment as we are opening a second coating line in our Raisio surface treatment facility. At the same time, we are opening perhaps the most modern industrial paint shop in Finland, employing IoT solutions in many different ways.
What also makes the paint shop significant is that the investment is made jointly with our long-time partner, Hiab, part of the Cargotec corporation, while the facility will also serve other companies in the area. Hiab’s Director of Operations Esa Korolainen talks about how close cooperation between our companies supports both businesses while the joint investment is relieving investment load.
How is the Raisio facility as a workplace?
Head of our Southwest Finland business unit Juha Granholm talks in his interview about the significance of flexibility in our business.
In this issue, we also meet people from Bronto Skylift. Purchaser Ilkka Laurila shares his views on our cooperation in surface treatment, and why Bronto Skylift has chosen FSP as their preferred partner.
You can also get to know our new customer in Poland, Scanclimber.
We also carry out a lot of customer cooperation in training and
consulting. Our Quality Manager Sami Pappinen tells
all about how we plan and execute trainings.
FSP’s Development Manager Rauli Yrjänä talks about how
digitalization came to the paint shop and a virtual paint shop
to the conference room.
This spring, digitalization has left its mark on many workplaces. With all possible work and trainings being done from home offices, relying on remote access, the significance of digital skills and solutions has increased. In this exceptional time, our magazine also appears only as a digital version, unlike normally.
During hard times, cooperation is more important than ever. We want to support the industry and our customers as much as we can. So, let us keep working, and maintain an open dialogue.
